So, I’ve been getting a continual stream of stuff like “When are you going to fix my class in DAoC?” or “I think that roots are overpowered in WAR. What will you do?” and while I don’t mean to be rude, I won’t be answering those kind of comments here. As my About box makes clear, I’m not using this blog for community support of WAR or DAoC. So, please, don’t posts those comments here or simply expect that they will be deleted. I, and our CM team, do that kind of stuff elsewhere, not here.
Thanks!

I don’t care if this gets deleted, as long as it’s read. After all the abuse you have taken on the VN Boards, I just wanted to say “thanks”. I asked a question about upgrading my account from SE to CE, and you directly answered me in about 10 minutes.
That answer to me,so quickly, and in the middle of getting beat on by hundreds of people bashing you about the grace period, impressed me greatly.
Don’t take all the nerd-rage over there personally, they’ll get over it, and we need you focused on WAR’s future. Thanks for a great game.

One last mention of WAR and it’s not a query or a complaint so I hope it gets to stay 🙂
As to my last comment on the previous post, you didn’t need to say anything to persuade me to part with my cash, the game did it for you. The extra week that GOA threw in by way of apology to Open Beta players was enough to tip me over the edge.
Well done on a great game, I have some pretty good tales to tell my grandkids “We were battling the greenskins for control of the gates and my turret took down four of them before my luck ran out…” that sort of thing.
Great work and all the best fo future projects.

Ok – then where can we make comments that will actually get read by someone who can at least pass on what the customers are saying?
You said you were going to do a post regarding the reasons why you have no official forums.
So far the quality of responses on fanpost sites by official employees has been an issue (enough said about that).
But it is a very real issue…. Right now I’m a paying customer and I don’t feel I have any way of communicating the very real issues I have with my class (Magus) – and considering how close to launch they got massively changed you were not happy with them either……
Are you now?
Will any classes change? How do we find out these things…..?
I look forwards to your explanation of the no forums policy and how you intend to provide real customer service without them.

@Theurgy
not sure where you are posting on “fan sites” that your not getting a response, assuming your not making the 9 million-th post that has already been answered.
http://www.warhammeralliance.com <– post there, and get some support, and they will answer. if they dont answer, they are atleast reading it. So deal.
@Mark
sorry for the thread hijack. Great job with WAR, love DAoC, and looking forward to anything else you decide to bring out. Will definitely be a purchase that i make.

@theurgy:
I see where you are coming from but no need to be so hostile, especially on a blog not made for direct feedback about his games. About the official forums thing, the semi-official forums are the http://www.warhammeralliance.com/ boards, there are plenty of dev posts there and it does seems as though they read them…text wall

Mark, It never ceases to amaze me the passion that MMOs can create. So if something goes wrong and the boards and chat rooms start to get heated take a deep breath and say to yourself ” we made a great $%^ing game and they care about it” unfortunately we mostly seem a dysfunctional bunch that tend to scream and shout when our toys get broken, or at least when we think they are broken.
Its a great game the best MMo I have played. Now its time to continue your bogging career. Cheers!

Hey Mark, sorry to bring “this stuff” here, but this is really not a matter of my concern about class balancing (which I think is extremely well done, especially for the stage the game is currently in), nor anything I’d like to see that would give anyone an advantage or disadvantage over the current state of all things WAR.
I would like to ask however, if you folks at Mythic ever considered giving players the ability to queue up for any of the Scenarios within their tier, from any of the corresponding battlegroups? I’ve been playing since PW1 only, but have noticed that this could really help boost the amount of combat that goes on. No cross-server pooling, no lorebreaking jazz, just the ability to make the statement “look, you’re all soldiers heading off to the battlefronts, and here is a way to make them easily accessible!”.
It really is great that you can sign up from anywhere, and I think WAR completely rules, but this one implementation could really help a lot of people, by allowing them to queue for multiple Scenarios easily and efficiently, increasing the activity of a realm exponentially, in my mind at least. I am not a programmer beyond GUI, so please excuse my assumption, but I would think this wouldn’t be so hard to implement. All in all, I just wanted to throw this idea somewhere I thought maybe it would be heard, as everyone I’ve spoken to in game seems to think it would be great – And of course to be the jillionth person to congratulate the whole Mythic team on a job well done 🙂

Hi Mark,
Amazing job on WAR. I also would like to say thanks for extended the offer for extended grace time for people who bought from the source, I had already entered a SE key however to keep playing such a great game the weekend because The Source let me know that the CE I order was going to ship tell Monday or Tuesday. I’m gathering from the first response in this thread that I’ll be able to upgrade from the SE to the CE, great news.
Again great work, having the most fun I’ve had in an mmo in a long time. Keep it up!

On behalf of a guild of long time gaming friends, we thank you and and your team at Mythic for making a truly amazing game. It’s the one we’ve been waiting for, and the one we all finally enjoy. There’s just so much we dig about it, specifically the ability to progress your character without spending a rediculous amount of hours doing it. Thanks to you and your team for your tireless efforts to communicate to the community, we appreciate it. Kudos to WAR and a toast to your continued success!!
